How to Read a Board Notification

Official notifications are usually short PDFs full of dates and codes. Here is what to look for so you don't miss anything important:

  1. Check the date and reference numberEvery genuine notification has an issue date and a reference number at the top. An older notice may already have been replaced.
  2. Find who it applies toSee if it is for regular or private candidates, which class (9th, 10th, 11th or 12th) and which session.
  3. Note every deadlineAdmission notices often have single, double and triple fee dates. Missing the first date means paying more.
  4. Read the instructions at the endRequired documents, photos, biometric and other conditions are usually listed in the last part of the notice.
  5. Save a copyDownload or screenshot the notification. It can help if there is a dispute later.

How to Spot a Fake Notification

Fake date sheets and result dates spread fast on WhatsApp and Facebook every exam season. Before you believe or forward anything, check:

Signs it is genuine

  • It is listed on the official BISE Gujranwala website
  • It has a reference number and an issue date
  • It is signed by a Board officer
  • The dates and details match other official notices

Warning signs

  • Only shared as an image on social media
  • No reference number or signature
  • Spelling mistakes and odd formatting
  • Asks you to pay money or share personal details

Always confirm before acting: If a notification affects your exam, fee or admission, open the official notifications page or call the Board helpline at 055-3894611 to confirm it first.
